ASSISTANT EDITOR
- Logging and digitizing footage of all projects.
- Labeling DV Tapes that are nameless, and keeping an archival track record of them.
- Maintenance of computer and wires.
- Re-sizing photos in Photoshop and preparing them to import into FCP 6.
- Rough cut assembly and editing.
Must be proficient in Mac and have knowledge of Final Cut Pro 6, IDVD, DVD Studio Pro 4 and Photoshop. Must be able to work individually and meet the organizations/Editor’s deadlines. Candidate must have excellent communications and technical skills. They must be able to troubleshoot when problems occur and know the operating systems. Must also know different exporting formats and compressions for web video streaming. Must be available for at least 15 to 20 hours per week.
Specific Proficiency in knowing Video Capture and its appropriate Scratch Disk settings. This applies to video and picture capturing. Detailed at In-house duplication, authoring DVD’s, and creation of DVD Master for outsource delivery.
